Subway Fashion: NYCSL Metro Bag Review

One day, while waiting for her a NYC subway train, actress Lynne Lambert was admiring the subway signs with their big colored circles, numbers and letters realized that these would make unique, fashion statements. So, under exclusive license from New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority, a line of T-Shirts, accessories and other apparel were created that bring the fabulous subway symbols into the realm of men and women around the world. Fans include everyone from President Bill Clinton to the rapper “Fabolous.” NYCSL products have been featured in: “WWD,” “In Style,” “YM,” “Cosmo Girl,” “New York Magazine” (to name a few), plus music videos , MTV, VH1, MUN2 and BET. Even better, when you purchase NYC Subway Line products, royalties from the sale of the NYC Subway Line products go to support the NY Transit Museum. There are so many cute things on the web site it's hard to choose just one. There are accessories and items to suit everyone's taste.

One item I think it universally wonderful whether you're going back to school, or just want a durable, eye-catching, fashionable bag to take you from work to weekend, is the NYC Subway Line Metro Bag $21.50. The unisex design features a classic, messenger bag made of rugged, water-resistant, woven black, white, brown, pink or orange polyester. The large front flat with a velcro closure that runs the entire length of the flap (so nothing falls between the cracks) features an embroidered NYCSL Subway Line Logo with "subway" symbols in yellow, blue and grey, on black and white. There's a little, velcro pocket on the side of the bag that will hold a slim cell phone (the Blackberry Pearl will fit, for example). Inside the bag, lined with -black nylon (featuring a subtle design of the NYC subway system) there are several additional pockets: a large pocket with velcro closure, a roomy interior pouch, and a zippered section large enough to hold notebooks or file folders. There's also a wide, adjustable shoulder strap to carry everything, easily.

No matter what you're doing this fall in City or Suburb, the NYC Subway Line Metro Bag will be a chic, practical and fun way to carry your "stuff." Check out all the fun things on the NYCSL web site: http://www.nycsubwayline.net/ !
