There has been a lot of buzz about rotating and vibrating mascaras (pun intended). The idea makes sense -- the mechanically-assisted movement will help separate, lift and coat each lash in a way a simple up and down movement of your hand can't do. But while I pondered how great it would be to have assistance with a task that sometimes doesn't yeild the best results, I wondered whether or not I'd like something that moves, next to my eyes.
The TurboLash $30.00 by Estee Lauder not only put my worries to rest, but it made my lashes so extraordinarily long in just one quick coat, that they actually hit the lens of my glasses! The mascara wand looks like any other luxury mascara--a navy tube attractively ringed with gold bands, But when you start to remove the top, something magical happens: the tube begins to buzz and softly vibrate! Slowly unscrew the wand and pull it out, and the wand, powered by a button cell battery, oscillates at 125 cycles per second.
In case you're wondering if this mascara wand will give you a different type beauty treatment....it is meant for your eyes, nothing else. The vibration isn't that dramatic--it feels mild and safe. But the vibration is enough to enable the mascara brush to move rapidly through lashes and leave them perfectly separated and coated. I even found that my tiny, lower lashes, usually hard to coat evenly, were done perfectly.
Another bonus: the mascara won't clump because the brush moves through lashes so quickly, and the gel formula (of "jellified" water, olive oil, and paraffin waxes) plus a blend of micas and microspheres, make for a buildable mascara that also adds volume. Kaolin clays and cellulose gums hold it all together so your lashes look as lush as possible without flaking or feeling heavy.
Speaking of which, when it was time to remove the mascara, I used makeup remover, but it also washed off easily with soap and water. The product is opthlamolgist-tested and fragrance free, making it even better for sensitive eyes like mine.
I guess you can say I like this new way to wear mascara...it gives me a good vibe (sorry, I can't help the pun). I don't know how long the battery will last, but I will tell you that I have never been so eager to apply mascara in the morning as I am now that I have TurboLash! Seriously, I recommend it both as a fun and effective way to wear mascara, and for the sheer novelty of it.

Is this mascara so easy to wear without any hassle
Is this so easy to wear
Actually, this really WAS easy to wear...it's not a rotating brush, it's a vibrating brush, so the movement is so gentle it's almost like you're "wiggling" the brush yourself, only now you have some help! I was worried at first it might be scary, but it was a truly fantastic mascara!!!
