Paris Hilton's Fairy Dust Fragrance --A Review

Paris Hilton has been portrayed as many things (some complimentary, some not). In her latest incarnation, the celebutante is portrayed as a Fairy, complete with wings for her fifth fragrance, launching this month. Fairy Dust by Paris Hilton Eau de parfum $55.00 3.4 fl. oz, $45.00 1.7 fl. oz (Body Lotion $28.00) by Parlux Fragrances is a modern, feminine floral scent developed by perfumer Cecile Krakower at Mane. It has top notes including pink peony and orange blossom, and a sparkling prosecco accord. The heart reminds me of the softer side of the pretty heiress: gardenia and water lily, and a peach nectar. The bottom notes subdue the "girly" feel, however, with vanilla creme, cashmere musk, and a woody, sueded patchouli.
Perhaps Hilton's little dog, Tinkerbell, was this season's inspiration for the fragrance. Ms. Hilton herself was the inspiration for the delicate fairy on the bottle. She looks like Disney's Tinkerbell, a slender sprite with wings and a wand and she appears to float in the clear glass in the nearly heart-shaped bottle.
The only touch of color against the clear glass is the metallic, turquoise spray diffuser, covered by a large, faceted, clear and frosted "crystal" plastic cap that highlights the touch of blue. I love the way this bottle feels smooth and special in my hand when I pick it up. Labels: paris hilton fairy dust review
