Bath and Bodyworks Brings Holiday Cheer to Even the Most Budget Minded

A new lipstick always brightens my day, but when it's holiday time, even a modestly-priced lipstick has to be special, or why buy it? The Liplicious Double Kiss Collection from Bath and Bodyworks features a bunch of holiday-worthy items that cost so little you can afford to give them to everyone and still have enough left to buy one or two for yourself.

For example: the Bath and Bodyworks Dual-Wanded Lip Shimmer $10.00 is an easy way to dress up your favorite lip color for the holidays. One side of the wanded gloss has a super-shimmery platinum infused in clear, silky, shiny gloss, the other, a fabulous, gliztening gold. Wear them alone for shine and shimmer or coat your existing lipstick with either or both for a day-to-evening, quick change. We also liked the Dual Wand Lip Gloss $8.00 and Dual-Wand Lip Plumper $8.00 offering two tasty lip options for less than the cost of a sandwich! The former features a gloriously fruity tasted Peach Nectar & Mango (coral combo) with a shimmer and non-shimmer gloss; a Fruity Gelato & Plum Sugar (pink/lavender combo); and a Cordial & Butterscotch Latte (berry/brown combo). Wear them together or separately and make each, your own unique signature color. And, the Brown Sugar/Dulce de Leche Lip Plumper offered us a shimmery browned berry with an overlay of beige-y pink gloss that smelled like a true dulce de leche and made our lips soft and sexy...and full. There’s also a Peppermint & Spun Sugar (pink combo); Raspberry Sorbet & Strawberry Smoothie (berry combo). We didn’t try them, but we’re willing to bet they taste and look amazing...just for a few dollars!

Before I move off the subject of fun and festive lip products, one that you will want to have, especially if you like wearing dark lipsticks and/or your lips then to be chapped and flake-y so your lip colors don't apply smoothly, is the
2-in-1 Moisturizing Color and Sugar Scrub $12.00. This double-ended product has an exfoliating lip scrub on one and a moisturizing lip color on the other end. The scrub contains sweet brown sugar (tastes sweet and delicious) to gently buff dead, dry skin and smooth your lips and it really works without irritating them. The creamy,mini-sized, moisturizing lip color on the other end means one less lipstick tube to carry around with you. Get the clever, take-it-with-you lip treatment in three combos: Pomegrante & Brown Sugar (pink combo - the one in the photo above), Coconut Truffle & Brown Sugar (neutral combo); and Candied Apple & Brown Sugar (berry combo). The Pomegranate (pink combo) offered us a nice, moist, layerable color over the smoothest lips we’ve ever! What’s great about this (other than that it’s so effective and user-friendly) is that it actually is smaller than a regular lip gloss and yet gives you everything you need for great lips all in one. And, at the price, it's definitely a won't-want-to-d0-without for the holidays and beyond.

All of these lip products make great stocking stuffers -- run to Bath and Bodyworks (or visit online at http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/ ) and get them before they’re all gone!

The Bath and Bodyworks Black Chamomile Sleep Collection from Aromatherapy also makes for inexpensive but impressive gift-giving. The limited-edition products detoxifiy while you sleep. The Pillow Mist $10.00 6.5 fl. oz. is my favorite for keeping and giving. It is an easy way to start your nightly journey to dreamland. The light formula is infused with Chamomile essential oil for an enhanced, restorative sleep. Spray it lightly over your pillow and/or sheets before you go to bed and enjoy the light, pleasant, softly floral, lightly herbal. The scent is so relaxing you are more able to stop worrying about the day, and put your mind at ease. The collection also has a Body Lotion, Mineral Bath Soak, Luxury Bath and Body Wash and a Fragrance Oil. None of the products costs more than $16.50 so you indulge in the entire collection and not lose any sleep over it (pun intended). For those who just can’t get enough vanilla (it is one of those scents considered to be an aphrodisiac), I suggest the Shea Cashmere Collection from the. True Blue® Spa. The products feature luxurious ingredients such as Mongolian cashmere extract (to soften and smooth–like a Pashmina against your skin) and African shea butter (the most effective moisturizer I know of) to soften and smooth skin and leave a good-enough-to-eat, creamy, absolutely delicious, vanilla scent. I sampled the tried the Shower Cream $15.00 8 fl. oz. that felt as luxe and soft as a cashmere sweater and left a light, lingering scent of vanilla. Maybe it was just our my imagination, but perhaps I did sense people trying to get a little closer to me the day I tested this body wash. In any case, the collection includes six core products (none more than $18.00) and gift sets running $25.00-$98.00 that includes a gorgeous robe (see photo). Who says you can't can’t enjoy and give the luxury of cashmere, this year?
