Beautiful Bobbi Brown Makeup for the Holidays-

If you've read my What Works Beauty, Cosmetics & Fashion review column for a while (and it's been around for a decade), you know that I'm a personal fan of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. For this 2008 holiday Season, , Bobbi Brown shines like never before. I particularly like the latest, new, Bobbi Brown's Basics Lip Palette $45.00. Inside the by-now iconic, shiny black mirrored compact with white Bobbi Brown logo on the cover, are four, brand new, generously-sized portions of high shine glosses and lipsticks and a nice, mini-sized lip brush applicator. Each of the shades can be worn alone or mixed together for a personalized look. Starting at the left side is a clear lip gloss with tons of light-reflecting shimmer called "Naked." It's pretty to wear solo or to add shimmer and shine to another lip color. Next to it is "Posey Shimmer Lip Gloss," a very soft, sheer, pink-ish nude. Also soft and warm is "Brownie" lip color in a soft, browned red, and on the right hand side, "Rum Raisin" Lip color in a berried brown. What's really great about these colors is that no matter what your complexion, they will look natural and flattering. When you start mixing a shimmery gloss with one of the lip colors, you can make a daytime look, quite glam without trying too hard.

Another great for yourself, fabulous for a gift Palette is the new, Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Lip and Eye Palette $60.00. A two-tiered, black mirrored compact holds mini-sized lip brush with cap, and mini eye shadow brush. There's also four brand-new, exclusive shades of long-wearing, moistly-matte, Creamy Lip Color on the top level (Berry Mauve, Pink Sequinm Dusty Mauve, and Ruby, and four brand-new, exclusive, gorgeous, high-shimmer Metallic Eye Shadows (Champagne Quartz, Gold Dust, Galaxy, and Golden Bronze) on the bottom level. * I apologize for the poor photos but for some reason we didn't get the usual CD of photos with our products, this time.

I have dabbed individual bands of shimmer brick on eyes, lips and cheeks, and even dusted them lightly all over for a glamorous glow. This new Shimmer Brick was featured in "W" Magazine (Nov 2008).
