Sedu Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styler - A Sound Investment
Unless you are one of the fortunate few, born with perfect, shiny, sleek hair, getting that look means using a styling tool. Alas, when you apply high heat to your hair, over and over again, you can really damage it.

The Sedu Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styler $139.00 srp. is a sleek, matte, lightweight, flat iron with an ergonomically designed body. The 1" plates let you quickly get the look you want, with minimal consequences to your hair. There are so many flat irons on the market, but when you're investing in a high-end appliance, you want to know what makes it superior. Some of Sedu's high-tech features include:
Infrared ceramic heating element that produces gentle moisturizing, less damaging heat so you style fast as well as safer.
1" Tourmaline ionic plates that allow even heat distribution and prevent “hot spots.” Nano Tourmaline Ceramic Technology create negative ions that help eliminate frizz and close the cuticles to create smooth, shiny hair.
Adjustable temperature control that allows for various temperature settings to best suit different hair types and styling needs from 180 degrees all the way to 450 degrees (at that temperature it will tackle even seriously thick, coarse and frizzy hair).
A great features is Sedu's "Freestyle Guiding System." In many irons, strands of hair can slip and fall out of the plates and get stuck, resulting in snagging, pulling and frizz. Sedu's flat iron has anti-slip, edges on the plates that capture all of the strands, and the curved edge plates allow for smooth styling without creating kinks or frizz.
Traditional irons hair strands slip and fall out of plates. Stray hair can be trapped between plates and the body of the iron, resulting in snagging, pulling and frizz, but Sedu's curved edge plates capture the hair so it stays sleek,.
Sedu offers a whopping 24 month warranty on this iron and packages it with extras, such as a heatproof pouch (so you can stow and go, even when the iron is still hot) and a Sedu Revolution Styling Iron, Hair Styling Instruction DVD (a good basic how-to and a $19.00 value) When money is tight, it's not always the best idea to purchase the cheapest item....good styling tools, properly cared for, last much longer and give you better results.
I have reviewed plenty of flat irons on the Advice Sisters What Works Beauty, Cosmetics & Fashion review columns but the Sedu iron is really an exceptional one. My hair is fairly wavy and thick, but the Sedu Revolution Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron worked like a high powered steamroller, smoothing the strands immediately, and leaving my hair soft and straight and shiny. It was easy to flip up and curve ends under with the rounded edge design. The iron heated up quickly, but the included "hot pocket" allowed me to "stow and go" without fear of burning the house down. The feel of the iron is substantial, and the long cord made it easy to reach around wherever I needed to move the iron without pulling or tugging. The controls and power switch are, like most irons, on the inside of the iron and the lighted on/off switch lets you see whether or not your iron is still on (especially important if you tend to get distracted). I even liked the hard-sided presentation box with magnetic closure that the iron is packaged in!
This iron may cost a bit more than the cheap ones in the bargain store, but it really helps you get a salon look at home. It looks nice, it feels good in your hand, and it will get you real results. I've been getting compliments on my hair but I haven't done anything different other than use the Sedu iron. Now that's impressive! I know the compliments I receive are really for the Sedu Revolution Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron!
This would make a fantastic gift for a special person, but it's a "must-have" for every woman who craves great, straight hair. Sedu can be found at http://www.folica.com/, ULTA stores and professional salons nationwide.
