DKNY Be Delicious Apple-Essence Set is a Tasty Idea for Gift Giving

DKNY Golden Delicious Apple-Essence Set gives you three ways to enjoy DKNY Be Delicious--a by-now classic scent we reviewed back in the Fall of 2004 (and in a few variations, since then). The original Be Delicious scent is a modern, unique interpretation of the beloved apple! Top notes of crisp, green cucumber and sparkling grapefruit blend with magnolia, tuberose, white muget,rose and violet, and (for earthy appeal) there are hints of sandalwood, white amber, and blonde woods. It's fresh and fruity and fun to wear.

I didn't get a sample with the original packaging on this set, but the original Be Delicious featured a shiny glass apple. This one is even more luxe, featuring a generously-sized, 3.4 oz polished gold apple filled with the classic Be Delicious scent--and that's not all: You also get three rollerballs (my new favorite way to take scent wherever I go) each filled with a singular note taken right from the original fragrance. It is such fun to casually "de-construct" a fragrance and then put some of the notes together as you like them. With this set, if you or your lucky recipient can be adventurous with the scents, and you absolutely cannot mess these up because they all work well alone, or together. Here are the three rollerballs and their notes:

Juicy Apple: juicy and a bit tart and sweet, just like a granny smith apple! It has notes of granny smith apple, sparkling pink grapefruit, cassis, and apricot.


Sweet Floral: a light floral with flower coeur and dewy blossoms, muguet and magnolia, violet and honeysuckle. The scent is feminine but still fresh/




Sex-A-Peel: The spicy scent is enticing but not over-the-top or heavy. It's got sandalwood, cedarwood and white amber...it's very sexy...men will want to get close to you. Mixed with the juicy apple, you'll have a potent man-magnet!
