Studio Sculpt Foundation and Concealer by M.A.C.-New and Marvelous

After over two years of work backstage in the lab, M.A.C. Cosmetics has unveiled an exciting, new cream foundation in a squeeze tube, and a concealer. Even if you have favorite face products, these are two you will definitely want to try. The "proving ground" was backstage at Fashion Week, where some of the best makeup artists in the world used these products (in tiny cups as samples) on some of the most celebrated models in the world. I watched them backstage at a number of shows, testing this makeup--one that they hoped would blend easily; provide a flawless, satiny finish; be quick drying; layerable, and also water resistant.

After all the testing and tweaking, M.A.C. developed Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation $28.00 and I'd say it was worth the wait! It's a gel-based cream formula containing innovative, plant-based extracts that help deliver a lightweight, flawless, medium-coverage. Micronized silicone coated pigments keep the foundation true to color --and there are a whopping 23 color choices! It's super-easy to blend it onto your skin with your fingertips, or use a makeup sponge or foundation brush for more professional results. It dries fast, but not so fast that you can work with it. One layer dulled redness, two really did cover it all!



But M.A.C. didn't just develop a product that makes your skin look beautiful--they also created one that helps it actually be better! Good-for-your-skin ingredients include moisturizing shea butter, sodium hyaluronate, and yeast extract, and hydrating beet root extract, hyperles rhodopensis leaf extract, and tamarind seed extract. Antioxidant Vitamins C & E help defend against free radicals, and a mixture of titanium dioxide and octinoxate offer UVA/UVB protection. The product is good for all skin types, although if your skin is dry, sensitive or mature, you're going to love it. It's call it a beautifying multi-tasker you can take with you, anywhere.



The Studio Sculpt Concealer $16.50 is also great, allowing you to cover imperfections beautifully, without having to cake it on. It comes in a little glass pot, with an impressive, 15 color choices. Choose the right one, and you'll never have "raccoon eyes" again. One layer subdues flaws, two or more offers complete coverage that somehow, still look natural. A little goes a long way!
