Casa di Francesca has charming home scents inspired by old-world sensibilities

One of the compelling (and delightful) reasons to choose a personal or home scent, is to breathe in the fragrance, while enjoying the view of the outer container or bottle. Casa di Francesca, a new home diffuser collection, provides beauty for your eyes and well as your nose. Their diffuser collection features a whopping 26 different scents (mostly floral and fruits, but there are also more exotic scents such as Marzipan and Cabernet) in both traditional, and more luxe, bottles. The unique fragrance collection was inspired by Francesca, a genuine Renaissance woman, and one of the few women to tour Europe via the Grand Tour in the late 1600's. Designer and creator of Casa di Francesca, Katie Borghese, was inspired by her Italian lineage of her family, the Borghese's, her, love of art and travel, and the intrepid Francesa. Her Italian-made diffuser fragrances and hand crafted accessories will add beauty and elegance to every room of your home.

The Borghese family as a noble lineage (included in their ancestry is a pope, several cardinals, and a family link to Napoleon). You can feel the luxury and elegance of these fragrances just by sniffing them, but the diffuser collection of hand blown glass Murano glass, is exceptional to look at, too.

I was seriously enchanted by the Casa di Francesca diffuser I tried (English Garden Diffuser Set $39.50.) I wasn't able to discern all of the notes, but basically, it has the genuine scent of of a huge bouquet of fresh-cut roses--neither too sweet or too wimpy. The regular Diffuser Set includes a clear, Italian glass diffuser bottle in a classic shape. They remind me the carafes used to serve Italian liquors in outdoor cafes in Italy. The set includes a separate 200 ml plastic bottle containing the fragranced oil, plus a set of wooden reeds to soak up the scent and diffuse it around the room.

If you really want to go all out, there are also nine different Handblown Murano Glass Diffuser Sets ranging from $125.00 to $250.00 in various colors and shapes. The Blue Marble Diffuser in the photo, for example, is $179.00. Of course, all are refillable, and refill scent sets are available for $29.50 with new reeds and a plastic bottle of the scent of your choice. You can use the refill with a favorite glass bottle of your own, too. And a Room Spray $27.50 lets you instantly boost the scent you love throughout your home. These are little luxurious that will be dividends for the senses, every day!

*the company also gives back a portion of all sales to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital--another reason to try these great products.
