Total Beauty Bloggers Summit in New York City Day One Beauty Tour

Los Angeles was the destination for fun, networking and a lot of surprises, when I flew to Los Angeles to attend the first Total Beauty Bloggers Summit. I chronicled some of the events of the summit weekend in the Advice Sisters Blog. This week, I attended the second Total Beauty Bloggers Summit in New York City. Even in this short period of time, bloggers have become and even stronger force to be seriously considered along with other media. What always amazes me when I get a rare opportunity to actually get out from behind my computer screen and meet other, online media, is how talented, professional, and interesting and nice beauty bloggers are. Not all do this full time, as I do, but even if it's a hobby, they are dedicated to making their blogs the best they can be.

Armed with my Canon Power Shot, I chronicled some of this Summit. It began with a day-long beauty tour by bus of some leading beauty brands: Victorias Secret Beauty, Chanel, Kiehls, Molton Brown, Warren Tricomi and Plaza Beauty, and to Tractenberg Public Relations (where many samples I review in this blog and my Works Works Best Beauty Advice column, originate from)! Here's what we did:

We started out in the lobby of the W Hotel in Times Square, where we boarded a bus for Victorias Secret and met the beauty team, had breakfast, and got a chance to preview the holiday collections. They are not only amazingly affordable, they're absolutely gorgeous...gifts you'll want to give (and get) this upcoming holiday season.

We visited the Chanel Boutique in Soho, and got a soup-to-nuts primer on Chanel Skincare. Plus a peek at all those beautiful Chanel handbags, shoes, accessories and clothing.

The awesome beauty team at Tractenberg Public Relations offered sandwiches, along with two rooms chock-full of their client's newest beauty offerings. Charming Sarah Parker posed for me in front of a display of Korres, products. They are just one of the clients she represents.

...we boarded the bus to visit the Kiehls flagship store, for cupcakes, champagne, and a look at their holiday offerings.

We checked out the beautifully scented, spa-style products at Molton Brown

By late afternoon, we were a bit "wilted." But we were invited to Warren Tricomi at the Plaza , and The Plaza Beauty, for hair and makeup touch-ups. Delphine Burkes from Steeping Beauty and I take a moment to sit and chat. Warren Tricomi is the place to get a great style, or just a wonderful blow-out. Warren Tricomi and The Plaza Beauty (a level below the salon, by escalator) is a fun stop if you're in New York and want to see the Plaza Hotel and take home beauty booty!

...and there was still one more stop--dinner at the chic, asian-fusion restaurant, Tao).

I knew day two of the Summit was going to be chock-full of information, and I wanted to be awake early to get there on time, so I went home just a bit early. But the food, the conversation, and the atmosphere were great.

*now I'm at the Bryant Park Tents, as Fashion Week has begun. Day Two of the Summit will be chronicled...but maybe not today as I have to battle the raindrops and get to the tents for four shows! More, later on today.
