Vaseline Sheer Infusion Body Lotion Helps Hydrate All Three Layers of Your Skin

Vaseline is known for good quality, effective, and affordable products, but now they've just launched one that's really amazing. In case you didn't realize it, there isn't just one type of skin. The stratum corneum is your skin's protective skin barrier, and is made up of multiple layers – the top, the core and deep down.When you apply a traditional body lotion, it simply moisturize the skin’s surface. Other lotions will quickly sink deep down, but that only moisturizes the deeper layer, and not the top. So your top layer of skin still needs moisturization. The key to this layered moisturization is something new: Stratys-3. If you want to know the technical stuff, it is comprised of three powerful ingredients:

1. Glycerol Quat (GQ) –- A breakthrough molecule discovered by Unilever that finally solves the problem of delivering optimal moisturization to the very top layer of skin’s surface. It is designed to be less lipophilic (which means it resists penetration into skin) than glycerin, allowing it to stay at the top layer of skin’s surface, where it needs moisture most. It acts as a powerful hydrating agent, able to effectively bind more water than glycerin.

2. Glycerin – Well established moisturizing ingredient that penetrates skin for immediate and long-lasting moisture at the core of the stratum corneum (surface skin).
