Babyliss UStyler Multi-Tasks for Multi-Styles!

The Advice Sisters review a lot of electronic hair styling tools, and these days, most of them feature Nano Titanium technology. This conducts heat evenly and quickly. It also emits negative ions to help you style faster (so less heat assaults your hair for less time). If that doesn't impress you enough, nano titanium tools emit a good amount of far-infrared heat, to help you keep your own moisture in your hair strands, dryness and frizz, out. The result is silkier, smoother, shinier, and healthier hair!

But not all nano titanium hair tools are the same. The UStyler Model BABNTPP2 by BaByliss Pro, for example, is a professional styling tool that will help even do-it-yourself-ers create not just smooth styles, but curls, too! * The UStyler is the model on the top in this photo, the bottom photo shows the popular, Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium 1 ¼” Flat Iron.

The first thing you notice is that the iron has a cool, matte, light blue Ryton housing (a material that resists high heat), a rubberized thumb rest and cool tip and handle accents, to help stylists stay safe and comfortable. And, most importantly, the iron isn't a tacky "toy," it really looks and feels substantial. It has 1" plates, with advanced sol-gel technology, that helps your hair glide more smoothly through them. There are three heat settings including one that's an impressive, 450 degrees (use this setting if your hair is super thick or coarse, and use protective styling products). The on/off and heat settings are on an easy to find, slider switch, and all light up so you can see clearly what temperature your iron is on. It also heats up lightening fast....literally, in seconds. And this fantastic flat iron has something else to help you multi-task your styles: It has not just flat plates to smooth hair super-straight, but also curved side cooling plates that help you make everything from soft waves, to corkscrews, with just a flick of your wrist!

Despite the fact that the iron is well made and does so much, it's also lightweight, so it's easy on your arms and hands. I have thick, very wavy, frizzy hard to style hair, so when a flat iron slices through the "poof" and makes my hair shiny, soft, and straight in seconds, I'm very, very impressed. I didn't have any trouble making curls with the iron, either, although I got a few crimps when I first started. Like everything else, using a new tool takes a bit of practice. The video I've included, below, will show you how to use the iron in many different ways!
One other thing: 450 degrees, even with nano-titanium technology, is still a very high heat. Make sure you don't damage your hair by keeping the heat on it longer than necessary, and please use a pre-conditioner/protector. With a high-tech, pro iron like this one, you don't need to bake your hair to get the straightening or curling effect. For a straight style, just slide the iron down small sections of hair, starting at the scalp and moving quickly down the entire strand. For curls, hold the hair wrapped around the cooling plates on the side for a few seconds...that should really be all you need, depending upon the tightness of the curl you want, and the length and type of your hair. Experiment with your new styling tool, and you'll quickly figure out what your hair, needs.
