Natori & The Queen by Queen Latifah Have Body Products to DIE for!

A few months ago I blogged about The Queen by Queen Latifah and another new scent, Natori. I liked both of them so much, in fact, that I was curious about the auxiliary body products. Using good body products on a regular basis can help keep your skin looking, feeling and smelling, great. During the Winter months (and they're right around the corner), skin tends to dry out and feel itchy and flaky. And, if you're one of those people who just can't be bothered with body moisturizers, using one that has a scent you love, may entice you to treat your skin right, with excellent body products, more often.

Josie Natori's collection The collection includes a 5 oz body creme at $75.00, an 8 oz. silk shower creme at $50.00 8 oz. and, while it's not really a body product, there's also a really beautiful, perfumed candle $75.00

Queen Latifah's fragrance collection include a Body Lotion - 6.7 oz. $35.00 and a Body Butter - 5.0 oz. $40.00.


Both of these fragrances are modern and sophisticated "floriental" blends, but neither are too heavy with spice to wear during the day, or so light and floral that they won't stand up to a special occasion. Neither of these fragrances are super-premium in cost, but body products are a more modestly priced way to try a new scent, and a great way to increase the staying power of a scent you already love.

For sheer drama, the Natori Silk Body Creme can't be topped. It arrives in a curvy, opaque, plum-colored jar with a almost flat, matte, black top. The jar looks like it contains a rare, magic potion. In a way, it does: the body creme is so luxe and thick, it it feels almost solid. It's strongly scented with the Natori fragrance, so for casual wear it's all you really need to enjoy the Natori scent. The body creme immediately blends into your skin, leaving no residue, but your skin will definitely feel softer, and pampered, and hydrated (and all that good stuff)! Tip: warm a bit of the lotion in your hands first, then smooth it on for maximum benefit.

The Queen by Queen Latifah comes in a more traditional but very eye-catching, bright red -with-gold-accents, plastic jar (so it's not going to break if "Fido" knocks it off your counter). It also isn't a slouch in the luxury feel: a very, very, gorgeous, creamy body butter that can also be warmed in your hands before applying. I really smell fruit in the body butter that I didn't, in the fragrance, although there really isn't all that much fruit in the notes. This version, to me, is less spicy than the Eau De Toilette (at least to my nose). But smell is highly subjective, so you'll have to go and test it for yourself. . In any case, it's pleasing and pampering, and you can't help but feel you've been treated "royally" to wear The Queen.

You can get both of these beautiful, to die for, body products at major department stores (e.g. Saks, or Macys). For a pick-me-up, or a special holiday gift, either of these (or both) are s a top notch idea!
