Sunsoul clothing is Skincare You Wear!

Are you in a Yelo Mod? You are, if you are wearing a YeloMod piece of clothing, by SunSoul. SunSoul’s unique, high-tech, fluorescent material is the first of its kind to selectively amplify narrow bands of healthy light from the sun and deliver them to the skin while blocking the harmful ultraviolet rays. SunSoul is a Toronto-based company, made up of a team of globally recognized scientists and dermatology specialists, aiming to be a market leader in light technology to treat medical and cosmetic conditions of the skin.

The products from SunSoul are skincare you wear. Yes, you read that correctly! This is a very unique collection of clothing that is actually, a way to protect your skin, with a UPF 50. In addition, the Yellow light promotes skin rejuvenation by smoothing skin, improving skin tone and reducing wrinkles or skin discoloration due to aging or sun damage. Only a few hours a week in the sun, wearing yelomod is supposed to provide enough yellow light to rejuvenate the skin. I have to say that my skin isn't all that damaged, so I didn't see a huge difference, but I love the concept, and even more importantly, the UPF 50 is great alternative to traditional methods of sun protection. For that alone, I've become a fan. Whether you're wearing YeloMod on the slopes, or just walking around in the mid-day sun, this SunSoul clothing can do good things for your skin and your health, protecting your skin against the damaging rays of the sun without having to slather on sunblock, and you'll look good, too.

And there's also a line of "skincare-oriented" clothing called. SunSoul blumöd. These pieces have fluorescent compounds in the fabric to convert UV into beneficial blue light. Wearing the blumöd clothing in the sun only a few hours a week can improve the appearance of blemished, damaged skin.

I didn't try the blumöd clothing, but I did get a piece of the YeloMöd line, a long sleeved shirt for women ($89.99). The fabric is a soft neon yellow and fluorescent. That property will diminish after about 30 washings, so if you're wearing it solely for sun protection, you may want to replace it after that many washes. This synthetic fabric feels lightweight and smooth, and almost cool to the touch. The pull over style has a zippered front vent for cooling effect on hot days, and decorative, high-tech flatlock stitching (in contrasting grey thread) for dermatologist approved comfort. The mock neck helps you cover up, without feeling too warm or restricted. The products come in Xsmall to Xlarge. My large was form fitting, so if you like a baggier fit, go up a size.

There are eight different styles including sleeveless, short sleeve and long sleeve shirts, plus seven different caps, hats and sun visors. The hats and visors start at $49.95 and the shirts go up to $98.96. The blumöd items are the same designs, just a different fabric technology.

Active sportswear is meant to perform under even challenging conditions, and while $89.95 for a shirt may sound like a lot of money, you can't put a price on the health and beauty of your skin. Creams, and good sun blocks cost money too, and you need to keep re-applying them. Use the jar or tube up, and that's that. But the SunSoul items can be worn over and over again. Any one of these pieces would make an impressive and unique gift. But if you're active and love to be outdoors, at least one piece is a must-have for yourself.
