Le Metier De Beaute Makes a Great Gift For Yourself

You didn't get everything, or maybe anything, you wanted this holiday season? No worries! I'm about to share a must-have you will want to splurge on, especially if you've been (very, very) good ---and frugal!

Saving those pennies is about to pay off, because a gorgeous and very high end cosmetics line: Le Metier De Beaute is about to enter your life and change it for the better! This line is also introducing an anti-aging product called Peau Vierge that The Advice Sisters haven't tried just yet. The line is exclusive, found in Bergdorf Goodman and select Neiman Marcus stores. Now is the time to treat yourself to something luxurious and special. There are makeup products, and then there are products that make you feel like a rock star. Le Metier De Beaute has that star quality, with beautifully presented products in unique, wearable colors, packaged in chic compacts. The products are also high performance, with gorgeous textures and colors that stay true, and last.

If you want to pull out all the stops and really treat yourself, drool over the Red Rapture Kaleidoscope Lip Kit $95.00 (*there are other lip kits in other color combos, too, but red is such a must have color right now). This kit one gives you four fabulous ones! The outer packaging is a chic, matte black cardboard with silver lettering. Inside, there's a round, shiny, silvery compact with four, fabulous, luminous, lip shades interpreted in red. The top flips open to reveal a mirror, and the four trays with lip colors swivel to the side to reveal their treasure. These silky, sexy lip colors are enriched with antioxidants Vitamin A, C & E. and emollients including lanolin oil and beeswax) that help smooth and hydrate even parched lips. The colors are long wearing (reds tend to bleed, especially into those little lines on your lips), and the colors? Supremo! Universally flattering ranging from browned red to clear and bold: Leeds, Monaco, Castelo and Tremezzo—beautiful for all skin tones.

If the lip kit is a bit out of your budget, try one of the Color Core Moisture Stain Lipsticks $32.50 exclusively at Neiman Marcus. These are lip stains in a solid form that have a really luxe, velvety texture and they moisturize lips (a must have now in the Winter months) thanks to jojoba, lanolin and shea butter. The ridged, black matte, rubberized cases are seriously cool, too. However, lip stains tend to disappear quickly. This lip color sticks around, giving you that lovely, "just-bitten" natural flush of a lip-stain, and the long lasting color and pampering wearability of a lip balm. You don't usually associate this kind of blissful pampering in a lipstick or lip stain. A new color to covet is "Bombay." It's bright, cool, bold, assertive, RED that's movie star sexy. I also like "Marrakesh, " a pearly, peachy-pink that is ladylike and flatters even the palest of the pale.

If you are an eye makeup fan, you'll be happy to know that there are several different Eye Shadow Kaleidoscope Kits $95.00/each, too. If they're too far out of budget range for you, try one of the gorgeous, True Color Eye Shadows $30.00/each in chic, matte black cases. The colors are trendy, but not crazy, and they're just a few degrees more interesting than the norm. You will have something special to wear that you won't see on everyone else --it's one of the perks of wearing high end makeup.

My favorite eye shadow color (so far) is "Blue Steel," a shimmery blue grey that can look almost metallic, or you can blend it into a sheer, starry wash that's beautiful for every day. I also like "Clay," a warm taupe that fits the nude look so popular now, but has more attitude. Add a fantastic fringe to your eyes, with Anamorphic Lash Mascara 34.00 (*exclusively at Neiman Marcus) in the best brownish/black color I've ever tried. It gives you just the right mix of deep color softened enough to make even tired eyes look soft and pretty. It also comes in black, navy, green and purple. True, you can get a budget brand mascara to color your lashes as well, but this one thickens and conditions, with an anti-clump brush that builds volume and look great. Of course, it's long wearing and easy to remove, contact lens safe and hypoallergenic. There's a waterproof version, too, just in case you're planning a good cry!

There is so much more to discover in this line: blushes, lip glosses, even brushes. And I adore the mini-sized Nail Lacquers $15.00 that have maxi-sized appeal, with intense, unique colors (E.g. silver/grey/green "Neoteric Leaf") and long-lasting, chic-resistant, gorgeous formulas. They're so trendy, they made it into STYLE Magazine last Summer. The colors are intense, multi-dimensional, and once you try them, you won't want to ever be without a new one! These are less than the cost of an inexpensive dinner and you'll "dine out" on how great your nails look, for months!

Visit Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman (now you have a good excuse to go in and shop) or visit hem online, or check out the Le Metier de Beaute Web Site for more locations and product information.
