Violight & Zapi Toothbrush Sanitizers Might Help Keep You Well This Winter

The last time I opened my makeup case and looked at my travel toothbrush, the bristles were a disgusting, yellow-ish brown. Although I cleaned and dried the brush well before I put it away, apparently germs and/or mold still made a home on my brush! It was really gross, and, of course, there was no way I was going to put that toothbrush back into my mouth! I had to run out at the last minute, and buy another one.

Not long after this travel toothbrush incident, I discovered the Violight Personal/Travel Toothbrush Sanitizer (Item VIO200) at the Jono Productions Product-n-Press holiday preview, among a display of other, very cute, at-home, toothbrush sanitizers. This slim-line, battery operated, toothbrush case is a silver and clear plastic that fits neatly into a suitcase or tote. In just six minutes, it will sanitize manual toothbrushes, and most electric heads, and it costs just $29.99 MSRP.

There are other, at-home Violight toothbrush santizer models, and some are a lot more interesting to look at than the travel version. But I like the idea that the travel model sits flat, doesn't take up much space, and works as well on the road as at home.

It is so simple to use. Just put your toothbrush, or the one included in the sanitizer, into the case with the bristles facing the UV light. In six minutes, the holder shuts itself off, but a germacidal UV light will have killed up to 99% of bacteria on your toothbrush! It works by destroying the DNA in bacteria, eliminating E. coli, salmonella, and other microorganisms you don't want near your body or your mouth. The sanitizer is also a toothbrush holder...clever! Two AA batteries (not included) will sanitize for 2,000 hours , and the travel unit even has a 90-day warranty.

These days, you can't be too careful about germs. If you want to minimize your risk of getting sick this season, wash your hands regularly, and sanitize your toothbrush. It is so easy and effective, it's a no brainer! If you live in a house with other people, especially with children, having sanitized toothbrushes can help keep the entire family safer from sickness and harmful bacteria. ............and for the fashionista, there's the battery operated (it takes three AAA cells) Violight Zapi Toothbrush Sanitizer $29.95 in a color egg-shaped unit in white, orange, blue, pink, purple or lime green. There's even a bunch of cute, kid's versions (Zapi Doodle) . The Zapi Doodle comes with a sheet of stickers, so like the classic Mr. Potato Head, kids can make their zapi, their own. The one in the photo is decorated, and pink, but there are lots of other, colorful designs, too. It's fun to use, so even kids may feel more inclined to brush, and sanitize their toothbrushes, afterwards. You can use Zapi with manual or electric toothbrushes...you even get a free toothbrush with the unit! The blinking light tells you it's working, with an auto shut-off in 7 minutes so you don't have to stick around. A removeable drip tray keeps things super-sanitary.

The Winter cold and flu season is just about here. No matter which Violight you get, it is a small price to pay to keep your mouth healthy, and have a better change to stay well. There's a razor sanitizer, too. All make great holiday gifts.
