The Advice Sisters Fall 2009 Fashion Week Features - Tory Burch Presentation

Tory Burch is not just a fashion designer,  she's also a celebrity and a socialite. Her designs, popular with an upscale audience, were influenced by her life with glamorous parents who were part of the Hollywood celebrity culture and Philadelphia society.  Her fashion label was launched in 2004 and  she has won several fashion awards for her designs.  She's known for her modern-preppy,  pretty designs, bright tunics, bold accessories, and colorful Reva ballet flats. However, for Fall, 2009, Burch tones down the color and ramps up the "edgy" look with sexy but wearable fashions for day to evening, featuring boots, studs, and tailored sportswear and dresses.

 

In Tory Burch's collection for Fall, 2009 at the Prince George Ballroom, there really was something for everyone

... from pretty, prim, everyday dresses.....

      

....and cocktail dresses.....

 

 .....to casual clothes including leggings and slim pants, tough boots with buckles, and fur that. The look is edgy but still,  ladylike."  There were preppy, Tory Burch stapes such as pea coats with brass buttons, and striped shirts.....

 

.... but bold jewelry, bold prints, and a bold approach to layered dressing, make this collection fresh and new.
