Custo
Barcelona's Fall 2009 collection featured a veritable Carnivale of
color, a bit of Elvis, and a lot of fun, flirty and rock-star clothing
for both men and women. Brothers Custo and David Dalmau joined forced in
the early 80's. Their funky, California style includes their
trademark printed tops, as well as other items of clothing, to male and
female fans across the world.

Bright colors mixed in unusual fabrics,
with embellishments, and textures from fabrics that included lurex and
tinsel-tassel skirts made a lively statement, especially when worn
with neon heels and shiny tights.

A number of shiny "Elvis" suits for the
men, and pompadours for the women's hair, had a rockabilly vibe, mixed
with street performers.

I love the "tiger-striped" suit on the
left, and the slouchy, sexy mix of patterns on the right!

Custo Barcelona knows how to
cater to their audience, who will applaud his use of color and
creativity. The women's clothes are cute, the men's almost
dizzying, but for the right person, these clothes are tailor-made!
The outfits, worn as a whole, were a delight to see
on the runway and made for a wonderful show. Individual pieces
would be heaven-sent in the usually-dour Fall months for women and men
who are confident and playful in their image -- and
they also make for great photos!
