SkinCeuticals Primacy C&E $115.00 1 oz. bottle is a unique serum that really reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of photo aging. It works below the skin's surface. A few drops daily on face, neck, lips, ears, hands and chest lasts up to 72 hours and cannot be rubbed, washed or perspired off. Pricey (but definitely worth it) An easier easier-on-the-wallet introduction to this superb line is SkinCeuticals Delicate Cleanser for normal or dry skin $25.00 a gentle but very effective skincare product. Five hydroxy acids clean, exfoliate, and rehydrate skin -- a small price to pay for a clean, soft, improved complexion.

FAVORITE FOUNDATIONS FOR FALL: Just because your sun isn't "sun kissed" doesn't mean it can't look radiant. These foundations are just right for a finished Fall face:

Gustavo Cosmetics Pressed Mineral Powder SPF8 $19.50 comes in 10 shades to flatter every complexion. We love it's triple duty formula that goes from soft powder with sunscreen, to a complete coverage foundation and concealer. The natural ingredients are vent pure enough to be used for post-op, acne-prone and sensitive skin.

Prescriptives Adjustable Coverage Pressed Powder $28.00 should add "amazing" to it's name! Technology makes the powder "sense" your skin, absorbing oil or releasing moisture, as needed. A compact (six tones) creates sheer coverage with the flocked side of the dual-sided applicator, opaque coverage with the foam side. We tried it with foundation and bare faces and it make both, better!

Madina Milano is a global line with stores in Milan, Tokyo, New York, Seoul and Jeddah; and soon in Hong Kong, Taiwan and London. A standout in their "Paradise Collection" is the Madina Milano Paradise Pressed Powder $25.00 which literally melts onto your skin for a smooth but natural, matte finish. The clear compacts let you see the astounding embossed designs - art for your face!

L'Oreal's new Ideal Balance Makeup $12.70 is a wonderful product, and reasonably-priced. Somehow, it balances out your skin, so you get moisture where you need it, and none where you don't. Twelve shades and SPF 10, plus a light, smooth, realistic look that lasted!

Mirenesse Sports Makeup Wand $40.00 comes in five light-to-dark colors that smooth on easily and quickly, covers imperfections but is still sheer. It also adjusts to the varying conditions of your skin, as needed.

FALL BLUSH: When your skin is no longer "sun-kissed" you can fake it, or play up a paler beauty. These blushes put life back into your face, this Fall:

Bobbi Brown's blush $19.00 adds just a touch of sheer, soft, believable color. "Sandstone" is a warm, nude-brown that looks universally flattering depending upon how much you layer the sheer color. Ditto "Brown Berry," a soft plum-pink.

A really great blush gives your cheeks a flush so natural it almost seems as though you are not wearing any makeup at all. Clinque's Rich Texture Blush $18.50 from the Isn't It Romantic collection fits the bill, beautifully! "Rich Nude" is a soft rose which was universally flattering. A finishing touch? The sheer and light-refracting Gentle Light Pressed Powder $30.00 to suit your skin tone.

Gel blush in a tube is foolproof and so tote-able! M-A-C Cheekhue $17.00 in "Balthusphere" is a perfect beige-mauve to flatter to add a subtle, sheer wash of color, or a bit more. Pop one in your purse for quick touchups, too!

BECCA Creme Blush $23.00 has five colors so sheer that even "Lotus," a brilliant plum, looks completely natural. It lasts and stays true, feels like nothing on your cheeks at all...but you!

Sephora's Acquatint $14.00 liquid blush gives a sheer, lasting wash of color in six different shades to suit just about everyone's cheeks and lips. New "Auburn" a sheer, rusty pink, will make you look like you've just taken an invigorating walk in the woods!

There are more than 850,000 Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants in 33 markets worldwide, and their popularly-priced products are very popular. We liked what we saw in the new MK Signature™ Collection. We like the idea of their modular compacts to personalize your colors. The Cheek Powders $19.00 come in 16 colors. "Just Peachy" is a warm, sheer peach to flatter pale complexions. "Desert Bloom" is a more intense, but still believable pink that also looked great on lips.

Avon picked the prettiest, pink rose, and translated it into True Color Blush $7.50 in "Deep Pink." Reviewers also loved soft browned "Earthen Rose" Good for-you ingredients and light-reflecting pigment help you look radiant for hours!

Rice powder has been used by savvy Asian women for generations, to keep skin smooth and matte. Tony & Tina's new Rice Powder $28.00 has good-for-you ingredients, and buffs the bugs out of your foundation. On bare skin, it still soaks up shine and gives evens out skin.

FALL EYES: Make your smolder with the deep, smoky tones and shimmery drama that's fashionable, now. Used with a light touch, your entire face can make a statement, for pennies!

All natural, Earth-friendly products are not just for "crunchy" types. Burts Bees Wings Of Love Cosmetics Collection have vitamin E and are "all natural" but they're chic, too! Reviewers loved the Wings of Love All-Natural Eye Shadows $9.00 from the modern, matte-silver compacts to the subtle, wearable, long lasting, creamy-colored eye shadows like soft, grey "Patience" and medium-greyed-blue "Faith." Add an additional touch with Wings of Love Eyebrow/Eyeliner Pencils $9.00 in neutral shades of black, medium and light brown. Love the enclosed sharpener, too!

Clinique's High Impact Eye Shadow Singles $12.00 in "Timeless Teal" (limited edition) from the Isn't It Romantic collection is a light and soft grey-teal that will look perfect with any complexion, or choose the High Impact Eye Shadow Duo $16.50 in "Rose Wine" - a soft pink and warm rosy-brown combo. Both offer a stylish, softer take on all those dark, smoky colors.

Helena Rubinstein's Fall collection called "The Muse" is stunning. Swipe one of four new Color Statement for Eyes (shadows) $18.50 and you've instantly updated your look! A standout is "Celestial," a deep plum that's universally flattering. Extravagant Mascara $22.00 won raves. We're not quite sure why they named the navy mascara "Yo Darkness!" but we loved the lush lashes it gave us.

Get sheer, or dramatic, with Urban Decay Eye Shadow $15.00 "Mildew" is a fresh, prismatic glimmery green that looks new for Fall, and great on nearly everyone. For the rest, there are dozens of other gorgeous colors to choose!

Bobbi Brown Eye Shadows $18.00 for Fall are sheer, so you can go strong with color, or just add a little. "Black Plum" (deep maroon) and "Ivy" (deep grey-green) are great as liner, if you're not ready for a really intense look. "Smoke" is a subtle warmed charcoal. Use very pretty "Vanilla" as a shadow and highlighter.

M-A-C's Eye Shadow $12.50 is always chic and luxe. New for that latest smoky eye (or use as liner if you're timid) are "Shadowy Lady" (a blackened-plum) and "Plumage" a blackened teal." Charmer" is a stunning, greyed-beige that works as shadow or highlight.

Tony & Tina's Herbal Char'kohl $18.00 is a soft liner that can also be blended onto the lid for a definite, smoky eye. "Confidence" is a deep, pretty teal that looked great on everyone. For the opposite look, try Tony & Tina Cosmic Eye Shadow $14.00 in "Cosmic Clarity," a stunning, clear, medium-lilac with a hint of sparkle.

This season's smoky eye is easily accomplished with BECCA's Creme Eye Color $20.00 in "Graphite" that is sheer and light. We loved the look and those cool "industrial" looking compacts!

Mary Kay's MK Signature™ Collection Eye Colors and Duets $6.50 feature a wide range of colors from traditional to cutting-edge. Try the subtle, metallic, gold "Vintage Gold" for a new lid look, or the "Fig" duo, which has a medium violet for lids, a darker plum for definition. For evening, MK Signature™ Collection Eyesicles®$10.00 in "Silver" or "Bronze" will glam up your everyday look. The waterproof cream shadow goes on smoothly, and stays put.

Professional Eye Enhancers One-kit from Cover Girl's "Twilighting" Collection are pretty and wearable day or night. Three shades: dark brown "Autumn Sunset" medium brown, (limited edition) "Winter Sunrise" and highlighter "Storm" look shimmery, not gaudy!

Bourjois is known for new colors and cleverly-styled compacts. Their Fall palette is deep, rich and dramatic. For eyes that smolder, try Pastel Lumiere Eye Shadow $13.00 in ""Gris Magnetique" (deep grey) or "Prune Captive" (deep plum). Follow with Coup De Theatre Mascara $16.00 (dual sided, with base & color in Brun Opera (a truly wearable deep brown).

Prescriptives False Eyelashes Mascara $16.50 really lives up to it's name, making thin lashes look lush and long, and without irritating eyes! Deep Maroon "Mulberry" is the perfect compliment to this Fall's plums and smoky colors. It's different and natural. Inklings Eyeliner $16.50 comes in "mulberry" to complete the look.

Avon's True Color Eye Shadow Quad $6.00 "Earth" features four, generous pots of color. Two shimmery browns and a vanilla highlight, and one soft, mate brown make for pretty colors, great price!

Jane's Fabulizer for Eyes $3.99 are a fun (and clean) way to tote eye colors. There are six, shimmery (but not too) choices, but we all liked the silvery-blue "Ocean Groove," best.

Mirenesse two-way single shadow $9.00 is from the land "down under. "Aeolus #54" is an intense but soft brown great for a liner or for a dramatic eyelid. The brightest blue isn't in the sea, it's "Cleo: #9" an intense turquoise that looks trendy, and terrific!

Laura Mercier "Film Noir" Collection evokes the early days of film with lots of dramatic, smoky colors. We really liked the Kohl Eye Pencil $16.00 in "black violet" that lends just a touch of deep plum. Eye Shadow $18.00 in deep "Smoky Grey" coupled with matte white "pure white" will give your eyes drama, instantly, and yet they're still sheer enough to layer to your comfort level. Update lashes with Thickening and Building Mascara $19.00 in "Crimson," a pretty, wearable burgundy.

FACE Stockholm Matte Eyeshadow $16.00 is generously-sized, and we love the trendy colors that always seem to flatter, universally. One that will definitely update lids day or evening right through the holidays, is "Joy" a medium brown that also looks great as a liner.

FALL LIPS - FABULOUS NEW FORMULAS: Lipstick and gloss "finish" your look, even if you're wearing no other makeup. These new products last long, beautify lips, and are good for them, too!

Too Faced Juicy Jewels $21.50 makes lips look, feel, and smell, yummy! Dual-wanded colors can be worn alone or mixed. We loved the "Diamond Drenched" duo with "Mocha Cream" (glossy, soft brown) and "Honey Gloss" (shiny, shimmery beige). Mixed, they produce "Creme Brulee" (glimmery, lighter brown). The other combos:"Pave Pink;" "Ruby Rocks" and "Platinum Peach" are as fun and delectable!

Laura Mercier Lip Glamour $18.00 is a liquid lipstick/gloss that is aptly named. You will feel like a star wearing these beautiful, rich colors. Our favorites from the Film Noir collection (photo) are soft, subtle "Silent Pink," dark, dramatic "Mystery Brown," and the prettiest ( not-vampire) red; "Drama Red."

Urban Decay's XXX Shine Lip Gloss $15.00 won our hearts, not only for it's seven glossy, sheers to shine lips, but also for the hint of mint that perks up a "blah" moment. 'ID" gives a flattering natural tint to lips. Not into "natural?" jump on the deep, dark and sexy trend with a few swipes of Urban Decay's Naked Pleather Pencil $14.00 a creamypencil/ lipstick (with sharpener) in "Rubber," an intense, shiny burgundy.

Tony & Tina's Herbal Aromatherapy Lipgloss $14.00 is always a big favorite of ours. It smells great, slicks on with shine and great color, and moisturizes and protects lips so they're better than nude. For Fall, try "Electra," a sheer transparent brick that looks pretty great alone, and even prettier, layered!

Passport Cosmetics are new to our column, but we're liking what we see. Passport's Getaway-Shiny Lip Gloss $12.00 is shiny not gloppy, with a nice mandarin green tea scent to stave off jet-lag. Shekel" a sheer, shimmery violet with holographic sparkle is (wearable, not gaudy). Passport Takeaway Anti-Gloss-To-Go $12.00 in "Sortie" a classic intense, crimson, suits most. Reviewers loved the glossy, long-lasting lipstick in a travel-sized wand.

Cover Girl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor $9.50 lasted as long as any we've tested, and we loved the gorgeous colors like "Mad For Mocha" and limited edition, (medium-brown) "Autumn Dusk." Cover Girl's limited edition Outlast Shimmers Shade Enhancing Topcoat $4.75 adds shimmer to the Lipcolors. Six shades (named after gems and minerals) look good alone, too. Cover Girl's Continuous Color Lipstick $4.15 comes in pretty colors like "Ruby Reflection" (berry) and "Harvest Moon" (soft pink). They're shimmery enough for evening, subtle enough for day. Best, they moisturize lips as they beautify.

We have found a universally- flattering lipstick that's glamorous and wearable day or evening - Awake's Lipstick $20.00 from their "Stardom Collection" in "Autumn Red." a subtle, brownish- rose with subtle sheen and it comes in a striking, red-metallic case, too!

We love M-A-C lipsticks $14.00 for their chic, bullet-shaped matte, black cases. Our picks for Fall are "X-Pose (light plum) and "Tempting" a beautiful, frosty, browned-rose. M-A-C- Lipglass $16.00 is a tinted, sheer stain of glossy color $16.00 that looks great alone, or layered over these new lip colors. Our reviewers especially liked "Revealing," a warm, shiny toffee.

Avon's Antique Chic Collection Ultra Color Rich Renewable Lipstick $6.50 evokes colors for timeless beauty. Our favorite? "Antique Claret" is pearly medium-rose that lasts. Glide on additional definition. Avon Glimmersticks Lip Liner $5.00 in "Red Brick" adds drama.

Bobbi Brown Lip Color $18.00 is always top-notch. We love her six new, gorgeous shades in soft, subtle Fall colors with just a hint of pearl. Try "Copper Red" and "Cherry Cognac" (the deepest) or go light with "Heather Plum," "Sand Shell (pink), "Iced Pink" and "Candelight" (beige).

MK Signature™ Collection Lip Gloss $12.00 has a botanical blend to hydrate/ soothe lips. "Almond Glaze" is a pretty, subtle, natural nude to wear alone, or wear, layered.

A super lip gloss to give your lips a "just bitten" sheer wash of shiny color is Becca Glossy Lip Tint $18.00 in "Berry." It looked simply gorgeous on everyone - it will on you, too!

Sephora Lip Lacquer pen $15.00 will "dial up" a citrus-y, super-shiny (not sticky) gloss in one of a dozen pretty shades with just a twist of the top.. "Violet @11" has a high-voltage, bight color we loved for evening. Try it!

Helena Rubinstein Lipstick Ritual Rouge Brilliant $21.00 comes in a sensuous, matte gold case that you'll want everyone to see. From "The Muse" collection we recommend "Cardinal" a medium, vivid pink that will flatter most everyone. We also loved Gloss N' Shine in Meditation" a clear orange gloss to boost shine and enhance lipsticks. It has the best case - one with a lip brush designed as part of the "latch" - brilliant!

Prescriptives new Incredible Lipcolors $17.50 are part of a "trilogy" concept for Fall, Holiday and Spring. Fall's is "Surrender," inspired by Fall's rich colors. The lipsticks glide on like silk, moisturize lips and are long lasting. Redheads will want "Gilded Hazel" (warm brown) but "Gilded Garnet" (berry) gave paler skins drama, and looks wonderful on brunettes and deeper complexions.

Francesca Guerrera Lipstick $21.00 comes in a super-luxe, silvery case that unscrews from the base with a few twists, to reveal the luxurious lipstick in 45 outstanding colors. We love that you can buy Refills $15.00 Our favorite for Fall is "Canyon Clay" a rich, creamy lipstick in a soft pinky-brown-great!

L'Oreal's Endless Lipcolor $9.75 is an impressively-long-lasting lipstick. We liked "Timeless Tawny" for a beige-y look, and medium-toned "Really Rose." Deeper complexions will glow with "Boundless Bronze" and "Perfect Plum." For lush, shiny, soft lips, L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick $8.00 is a great choice, in 48 cool and warm tones. Deep colors that looked good on most were "Candy Apple" (warm red) and "Earth Rose." Our pick of the plums is "Spiced Cider." "Bronze" will add definite drama and shimmer to an evening ensemble.

Mirenesse Mirror Gloss $9.00 comes with a tiny, retractable lip brush which we all loved. For silvery lips that aren't "too metallic" we suggest "Kylie #12." Another pretty choice is "Xerxes #2" a pretty raspberry.

Fruity and fun Jane Cosmetics Megabites Glossy Gloss $3.49 is a simple splurge. Wear over bare lips, or layer over lipstick for glossy lips with just a squeeze of the tube. Peachy-pearly "Flirt" is definitely a must have for Fall. Jane Fabulizer for Lips $3.99 is small and tote-able "pen" wand with a fruity scent. Light pink, pearly "Smooch" is a nice alternative to all those deep, intense lip looks.

CUTE KITS: Kits are cute, convenient, and they make great gifts. Good things do come in small packages.

We can't stop oogling the eight great, flattering lipsticks (and beige, shimmery gloss) in a silver case by Gustavo Cosmetics. Their Lip Essentials $25.50 serves up a satisfying gaggle of gorgeous fall lips colors, and (YES!) a good lip brush.

Madina Milano Precision Eye Kit $30.00 helps you to create pretty eyes and brows. Three tones of brown shadow, applied wet or dry, define eyes, and sculpt and fill in brows.

CUTE KITS (continued):

Trish McEvoy's latest Maxed Out With Lip and Gloss Kit $19.00 in "Natural" is one we love! The Fall palette of sophisticated colors in mattes, frosts and even two glitters go with everyone you'll be wearing this season. The ultra-thin, credit-card sized, chic matte black case with cute (and good) lip brush make this a must have and a great gift. Another great pick is Trish McEvoy's For Your Eyes Only Kit $24.00 with the same, chic, credit-card sized case, and eight pretty, day-to-evening neutral eye shadows and liners. You'll flip for Trish McEvoy Bare Necessities Face Kit. $45.00 This kit features five flattering, modern colors for eyes, cheeks and lips. Noteable is the subtly-shimmery, sheer pink "Sundance Gloss."

BeneFit Cosmetics newest "kit" called Glamourette $38.00 evoked squeals of "how cute!" Inspired by 1940's glamour compacts that held small-sized products for an "evening out" this is a kit-of-the-season must have. Glamourette comes in three different sets of modern natural powder, blush and lipstick in "Fickle" (warm berry), "Coy" (mocha-apricot) and "Divine" (rich plum). The hand-mirror shaped compact with THREE mirrors and two puffs is a super-feminine, shiny black plastic design. Magnetized pans let you pop out a color and tote another. Refill lipsticks $9.00, Blushing Beauty (powder) Rouges, $11.00, Finishing Touches powder $11.00

LORAC Lip/Eye Duo $24.00 is not exactly a kit, but these beautiful wands with cream eye shadow on one end of the wand, and shiny, silky lip gloss on the other make it all you need for quick touch-ups, or an evening out. We particularly liked "Liberty" - a pearly violet combo with a hint of silver!

FACE Stockholm's "Trinity"$20.00 isn't a kit, either, but it might as well be as it's for eyes, lips, and cheeks/ Their latest color "soulful" is a simply gorgeous, shimmery peachy-pink.

CLEVER, QUICK FIXES: Great products to solve the "little problems" and make life, soothing

We haven't figure out why, but Fall seems to be when zits crop up (and who needs them)? The folks at BeautiControl developed a clever product that solves the problem, and really works! All Clear® Outta Sight™ Nighttime Clearing Complex $14.00 has a long name and it does one thing well: zap zits! Pat this cream with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide on a zit before bedtime and amazingly, it's gone (or nearly so) when you awake!

Aveeno® has a new set of adult zit-busters we think you'll really like. Aveeno® Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser $6.99 has 0.5% salicylic acid to help tame breakouts. Follow with Aveeno® Clear Complexion Astringent $6.99 and Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer $13.99 to clean and moisturizes your skin and make it look smooth and even- and you can't beat the prices!

To keep the breakouts at bay you also need to unclog pores in a more deep-down way. Neutrogena® Clear Pore Cleanser Mask $6.49 is a daily cleanser that also works as a mask - clever and effective!

Just the idea of bathing in milk sounds soothing! Caswell-Massey's Old Fashioned Milk Bath $20.00 in a cute (plastic) "milk bottle" makes the fantasy, a reality...you'll love how soft your skin feels, too!

Hair needs moisture, too. If yours has been "fried" from too much summer sun and chlorine, try Phyto's Phytonectar Shampoo for Ultra Dry Hair $20.00, an ultra-moisturizing blend of botanicals and orange blossom wax (smells like a honeyed- bridal bouquet). It smoothes and detangles. Add an extra one-two punch against those straw-like strands, with a treatment of Phytokarite' Intensive Treatment Mask for Very Dry Hair $20.00. Whatever the texture of your hair, it will make it soft and silky.

Less than perfect features? Laura Mercier Countour $20.00 is a creamy little pot of magic that works on all skin tones."Sculpt" your features after you've applied foundation. You can get the look you've always dreamed of!

GORGEOUS GLAMOUR! Glitter and shimmer are still the easiest way to boost your glam quotient a notch (or two):

Glamour products are mostly for the face and body, but one lighthearted, sexy one for your head is KMS Haircare's Turnstylr Colors $6.95. A touch (or more) of six temporary, washable colors changes your hair from from ho-hum to head-turning, instantly. If purple or green is just too "teen" for you, try "copperwired," and "goldrush" to add just a pretty bit of glitz and color. Be daring, and get the man in your life to match you --you'll be the center of attention and can go back to "regular" with a shampoo.

Too Faced Ice Shadows $21.50 are soft, metallic cremes that range from black and silver "Bling Bling" to a sensational brozned mauve with soft beige highlighter combo called 'Ching Ching." The cremes last and last -even though serious dancing. They also have vitamins and botanicals to soothe, protect, reduce puffiness, and refresh eyes.

Glamazons already know that Tony & Tina's aromatherapy products are fun and good for you. Their glitter products are great! Tony & Tina's latest Glitter Pencil $18.00 in fresh, vibrant Green. For a different look, wear it alone with a nude shadow, or smudge with the attached blender tip on lids for an allover sparkle. We liked it wet on a liner brush, too!

We suggest Awake Eye Gloss $18.00 in "Dawn" - a shimmery beige with a hint of glitter, coupled with Awake's Proportional Eye Pencil $18.00 to color and define, in one of a number of pretty, dual- ended color combos, finished with Awake Optic Force Mascara $28.00 (a dual-wand with volumizing base and a unique, M-shaped coloring wand - see photo) in flattering, medium toned "Jupiter Blue." The colors are natural and harmonize together, beautifully.

Need some extra shimmer in your life? Sephora's Glitter all over color $9.00 gives you sheer color and sparking (but not too-too) glitter. There are a dozen colors, but we liked "purple" not only on lids, but on lips, too!

Black Radiance from Wet n' Wild has a collection of glitter products featuring high-voltage red and gold glitter. Meant to flatter deeper complexions, we felt truely special with this look! Shimmer Pump $4.99 imparts a clear (not sticky) gel full of red and gold glints for your skin...and it lasted! Continue the look on lips with Satin & Shine $4.99 in "Midnight Red," a dual-ended wand with cherry red lipstick and red-gold glitter. Face Frost Gel $4.99 in "Sunset Plum" gives a striking re-orange glow to the face. Complete the look with Nail Color $1.99 in "Fire Red" which (naturally) is a red and gold sparkle! Wet N' Wild MegaEye Hi-Lighter $1.99 gives you a lot of glimmer for pennies. "Alternative Rock" is a slightly holographic icy pink-white for lids or highlight. Finish with Mega Volume Mascara $2.99 in basic brown, black or brown/black.

Francesca Guerrera Shadow $21.00 Refills $17.00 certainly could be worn any time (they have 33 shades) but the silver case looks like expensive jewelry, and "Roma Bronze" (not color shown) is such an subtle, astoundingly pretty bronze shadow, that we just couldn't help but put it in this, the "Glamour" section. That's definitely how you'll feel when you use it! Get a sheer wash of color, or lawyer until you get night-time drama.

FACE Stockholm's Eye Dust $18.00 gives you sparkle that's wearable and glamorous. We loved the coppery-brown "Cheerful " to wear on lips as well as eyes. Ditto "Light", a suberb shimmery. glimmery light pink. Boost glam quotient over the roof with FACE Stockholm Mascara $ $18.00 in "Red" which, despite the untraditional color, is really pretty, wearable metallic, coppery-rust. We're also mentioning FACE Stockholm Pot Gloss $15.00 in our glamour lineup because.well...it is! Try "Dazzling" a deep dark brownish-plum for eye-catching lips. Line with FACE Stockholm Lip Pencil $13.00 "Expresso" for definition and drama.

Wear Cover Girl's Perfect Point Plus Self Sharpening Pencil $5.35 in silvery limited edition "Winter Sunrise" as a glam eyeliner, or smudge with the attached blender tip to add a soft, metallic shimmer to your lids. Dressy, for sure, but no too "out there."

Continuing the precious metals theme, smooth on Avon Refined Duo $4.25 in "Silver Sheen/Brushed Plum" from the Antique Chic Collection and you'll have instant eye-appeal! The silver is highly metallic, but not gaudy. Ditto "Faded Gold/Tarnished Copper" which will wow, warm complexions!

Mary Kay's Twinkle Twinkle You're a Star™ $18.00 is a cute, feminine way to feel glamorous, and add a touch of sparkle to your skin. A sweet pink puff holds a light touch of iridescent glitter powder. It's a limited edition just through December, 2002 so hurry to get yours!

Even the case of Bourjois Pour La Vie lipstick $16.00 looks sensuous! Try "Rouge Volcano Pour Soprano" a rich, intense red, or "Beige Chic Pour Artistiques" an intense, matte beige. Use Dual-sided Secret D'Intiees Lip Pencils $13.00 for alone or to define and color. Match. "Sortilege de Grenade" (red) and "Delice De Praline" (beige). Eight luxe, wet/dry liners run the gamut from classic black and brown to metallic silver, gold and even purple! We liked the sleek, black compact complete with dual-sided eyeliner brush--GREAT!

NEW FOR NAILS: Nail polish adds "polish" to your outfits and your life. It's always a quick and easy way to accessories that costs a little, and gives a big effect. Shimmer, drama and shine are Fall's latest trends.

Makeup artist Sonia Kashuk's line of popularly-priced cosmetics is sold exclusively at Target stores (1,107 stores in 47 states) and a few items, online. This is our first review of her products, and we're pleasantly surprised. We tried her nail polish $3.49 in a light beige "Ideal Nude" and a vamp-ish, vibrant metallic burgundy "Purple Haze." Both went on as smoothly and glossy as the more pricey brands we like. Surprise! Sonia Kashuk outlasted some of them, too!

Avon's Nailwear $3.95 in browns and berries look just-picked, just-right for Fall. "Mystic" won raves for a it's soft, glittering, champagne color. "Rouge Fatal" is a pearly, metallic burgundy. Avon's Antique Chic Collection features vintage but modern colors. One polish to try is "Rouge Fatal," a classic red.

The perfect slightly-metallic brown-maroon is Lippman Nail Polish $15.00 called "Black Coffee" with protein to strengthen nails, while it beautifies.

NailslicksTwilighting Collection $2.50 from Cover Girl is one of the prettiest (and easy on the wallet) polishes this season. 3-in-1 formula provides base coat, color and a super-shimmery top coat with one swipe of the brush. Great for glamour and great if you're on the go. Our favorites? "Winelighthing" (berry) and limited edition "Champagne" (beige).

The press release calls it "the fragrance of desire. "Superb!" is all we can say about the chic, romantic fragrance designed by the woman synonymous with romance. Vera Wang Fragrance 1.7 oz. $60.00, 3.4 oz.$85.00, Parfum Purse Spray (shown in photo) $75.00 .25 oz personifies the designer: luxe, elegant, and sensual. A blend of florals, white florals, and white woods and sheer musks make this standout new fragrance a scent just about anyone can wear. The sensually-shaped clear bottle with sexy, clear top will add a designer touch wherever you display it.

Wearing "cucumbers" as a fragrance may seem strange, but Caswell-Massey's Cucumber Cologne $20.00 will make you smell fresh and sweet, not like a farmer's market! It's a pleasing alternative to overly-floral or musky scents and worked well with a wide variety of body chemistries.

Victoria's Secret's sexy lingerie is known, world-wide. If a bustier isn't enough to get his heart racing, a spritz of Victoria's Secret Very Sexy for Her 1oz. $35.00 2.5 oz $45.00 should do the trick. At first the scent is light and fresh, but soon (just like attraction) the scent becomes, warm, spicy and just a touch of floral. Victoria's Secret has has a line of fragrances called "Secrets" 1.7oz spray $22.00 3.4 oz spray $32.00. None of the ingredients in the five, unique scents are divulged (it's a secret - get it?). The individual scents are very distinctive, none of our reviewers agreed on just one favorite. We liked Secret 77 (Magnetism), but you'll have more fun picking your own special "secret" by sniffing them all!
