CONTEST RULES - please read before you complete the ENTRY FORM:

This contest is a bonus feature of the Advice Sisters"WHAT WORKS" BEAUTY, COSMETICS & FASHION REVIEW COLUMN And The "What Works Archives".  We are sorry, but the contest may only be entered in or from the United States and entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible for entry. This contest is governed exclusively by the laws of the United States. You are not authorized to participate in the contest if you are not located within the United States.

1. contest Entry Period. The Advice Sister Celebrate Winter contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on February 2nd, 2006 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on April 14, 2006 (the "contest Period").

2. Eligibility. The contest is open to legal residents of the United States only, who are 18 years old or older.

3. How to Enter. To enter, simply complete the entry form at: http://www.advicesisters.net/wwfeb06contestentryform.html  during the contest period, complete all required information on the online registration form, then click the "submit" button at the end of the form. Limit one (1) entry per person. You will be asked whether you wish to receive the Advice Sisters Enews but you are not required to sign up for this free publication and your decision to decline any newsletter will not affect your participation in the contest or your chances of winning. All entrants must have a valid email address.  All entries become the sole and exclusive property of The Advice Sisters,  and receipt of entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Prize will be sent directly from the sponsor, and delivery of prize requires a street address (no P.O. Boxes). Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, stolen, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted or garbled entries, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind whether mechanical, human or electronic. Only fully completed entries are eligible. Proof of age and legal U.S. residency may be required.

4. Random Drawing/Odds. One Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the contest Period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted by Sponsor on or about April 20, 2006. By entering the contest, you fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these official rules ("Official Rules") and the decisions of the Advice Sisters, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the contest.

5. Prizes. There is one (1) prize. A gift basket of PEVONIA products.  Prize is nontransferable, nonassignable, and no cash alternative will be offered. No substitutions of prize, except that Sponsor may substitute any portion of prize with something of equal or greater value, in Sponsor's sole discretion. Any portion of a prize not accepted by the winner is forfeited. All taxes on the receipt and use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

6. Notification. Winner will be notified by email on or about April 20, 2006. The winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release when requested. If winner is considered a minor in her jurisdiction of primary residence (a "minor"), the Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release must be signed by the minor's parent or legal guardian and prize will be delivered to the minor's parent/legal guardian and awarded in the name of such parent/legal guardian. If winner cannot be contacted within five (5) calendar days of first notification attempt, if prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if winner rejects the prize, or in the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and The ADvice Sisters reserve the right to select an alternate winner from all remaining eligible entries. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given.

7. Conditions.  Participation in this contest and acceptance of prize constitutes winner's permission for the Advice Sisters and the contest Sponsor (Pevonia) to use his/her name, address (city and state), likeness, photograph, picture, portrait, voice, biographical information and/or any statements made by winner regarding the contest or Sponsor or prize supplier for advertising and promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By participating in the contest, winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Advice Sisters, the Sponsor,  and their respective employees, officers, directors, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers, retailers and advertising and promotion agencies from any and all liability for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with participation in this contest, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any contest-related activity and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.  Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this contest in any way will be disqualified. There is no purchase or sales presentation required to participate. A purchase does not increase your odds of winning.

8. Additional Terms. In case of dispute as to the identity of any entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any potential winner may be requested to provide The Advice Sisters and the Sponsor with proof that such winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. Any other attempted form of entry is prohibited; no automatic, programmed; robotic or similar means of entry are permitted. The Advice Sisters reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this contest should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of this contest or for any other reason The Advice Sisters deems it necessary. In such case,  The Advice Sisters may, at its discretion, select the winner from all eligible entries received unaffected by the problem. The Advice Sisters reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of this contest or web site. The Advice Sisters may prohibit an entrant from participating in the contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or The Advice Sisters.

9. Use of Data.  The Advice sisters take spamming and violation of privacy very seriously.  The Advice Sisters will be collecting limited personal data about entrants online. You may wish to review the Advice Sisters Privacy Policy before entering. By participating in this contest, you hereby agree to the Advice Sisters' collection and usage of your personal information and acknowledge that you have read and accepted Sponsor's privacy policy. By submitting an entry,  you agree to receive occasional emails from the Advice Sisters.  However, you may opt-out at any time by email to advicesisters (at) advicesisters.net  and your decision to do so will not affect your entry in this contest or your chances of winning.
